This first model I build after I got back into scale modeling in 2023. Before I started, I watched a ton of scale modeling videos on YouTube and decided I wanted to go all in. I picked the slightly less common 1:48 scale because I thought it would be nice to work with a scale that is common for vehicles and aircraft models.

I decided to a heavily chipped Afrika Korps paint scheme. So I started out to paint the vehicle in the usual German Grey scheme then applied chipping fluid and painted the Afrika scheme over the top. Using the chipping fluid was really fun and after that I followed up with a bunch of weathering techniques I saw on the internet. While building my first models I also went heavy on using pigments.
