The Aerosan obviously needed a frozen lake and let’s be honest: Styrofoam doesn’t cut it for a project like this. So I tried to work with epoxy resin for the first time. This project got expensive pretty fast! I had to do the base four times until I was able to get a result I was happy with. But I enjoyed the process and there will be more resin projects in the future. After that solid 3 kg resin block cured, I just added a bunch of snow effects and two figures by Alpine Miniatures. And while it’s nice to look at pictures of this diorama you should try looking at it in person at a modelling show since there is a surprise hidden deep in the water.
